Bianca also edits and publishes our greatly-improved Newsletter after each luncheon. Jimmy volunteers to keep Board members on the right track by offering uplifting messages that end each meeting. PPB Past President Tom Kennedy was on hand for this special celebrity luncheon honoring Tom Dreesen. Seated next to him was Mary Virginia McDonough. The June 29 luncheon was a departure from the usual presentation in that there was no dais of guests saluting Tom Dreesen. Instead, Tom performed his 90-minute comedy routine with wonderful stories about Frank Sinatra, for whom he opened in hundreds of appearances over a 13-year period. (Don Graham photo) |

Following his 90-minute "An Evening of Laughter and Memories of Sinatra," Tom Dreesen accepted PPB's Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award from PPB President Alan Perris. Dreesen told of his humble beginnings shining shoes as a youth to hosting "The Tonight Show" and other TV variety shows, and then spending 13 years travelling with Frank Sinatra as his opening comedy act.
